We work with advisors around the world of all levels of seniority seeking to build greater advisory skills and accelerate their performance. We accommodate advisors who may be very experienced independent consultants where we shape the support and capability building to suit them — which may include scaling up their advisory business, lifting fees and moving to a retainer model — but also support junior team members seeking to learn advisory skills with a pure internal use focus.
We 100% get it — all advisors we work with are busy people. We therefore tailor the onboarding and support to match your available capacity. We don’t take a cookie cutter approach. Ongoing, we suggest advisors allocate approx. 8 hrs a month minimum to learning new capabilities, attending training events, liaising with your coach and leveraging the technology. This is very achievable and ensures you continuously develop your skills each year.
Each Mindshop support coach has typically been with Mindshop for over 10 years, is gaining strong success in the field leveraging Mindshop, fits our core values and is a Mindshop Expert.
We have some advisors that have been with Mindshop for 25+ years who have a life-long learning mindset, and others who may only stay a few years and hand the learning baton to another in their firm. On average a Mindshop advisor currently stays close to 8 years.
It’s a blend and we tailor the support for each individual firm and advisor in Mindshop to strike a balance between three pillars of commercial advisory success, their own professional development and internal application of advisory skills to be better problem solvers and leaders. Each development day and coaching interaction has a blend across the three pillars of focus areas.
Mindshop has a minimum sign on period of 12 months to ensure you get the full advisory support experience. After that period if you decided for whatever reason Mindshop wasn’t for you, just provide 2 months billing notice to leave — or if at a multi-member tier you can reduce membership numbers with 1 month notice.
The support is tailored to help each advisor achieve their goals. Topics may include: pricing, delivery tips, business model approaches, client challenges, internal challenges, growth opportunities, how to use a specific tool, leveraging Mindshop technology, building confidence and much more.
