How Mindshop Works in 10 Steps

1. Join Mindshop
  • We help you choose a support package to meet your desired advisory goals. Independent advisors join up themselves as ‘individual’ members, whereas accounting firms can select one or many internal champions to recieve Mindshop’s full support to drive change.   • For firms, we have put together an article to help you select the best person (or people) for the role of internal champion. Read more here.
  • When you have selected the package and internal champions, simply fill in an application form (our Regional Directors can send you one) complete each of your advisors’ details, set a start date and send it back to us.

2. Initial advisory success audit and 8-week induction

  • Access is provided on your first day of joining to the Mindshop Online learning and development platform to access all the relevant resources, training, forums, advisory service lines, coaching and much more 
  • Each advisor is provided an experienced support coach who will act as a guide through your development with Mindshop.  
  • Undertake a success audit with your coach of your advisory business to identify your firm’s vision for business advisory, any capability gaps, challenges and opportunities. This will be discussed and debriefed through a series of calls with your coach. 
  • Be taken on a tour of Mindshop’s platform and resources by our customer success team who will help you through out your Mindshop journey 

3. Develop a one page plan to achieve business advisory success 

  • A one page plan will be developed in your online coaching area with your coach that will be continually updated with your individual and wider firm strategies. Each strategy will be focused on achieving your desired growth goals. 

4. Ongoing advisory coaching  

  • Your experienced coach will setup regular calls to discuss progress on your training, strategies and be available to help on your advisory model, pricing, marketing and much more.

5. Build advisory capabilities through training

  • Build capability by  completing online training courses to educate yourself in foundational advisory tools and processes. Over 22 courses cover foundational, advanced and specialist topics.  
  • Register for and attend regular regional advisor training sessions in your local region (run face-to-face or online via webinar). A great opportunity to learn from experienced presenters on key advisory topics and network with other firms. 
  • If you are in an accounting firm, use Mindshop’s complimentary advisory fundamentals course to upskill your team in problem solving skills for use with clients. 

6. Build business advisory services

  • Draw on a wealth of prebuilt advisory service lines and other ‘how to’ resources to tailor your own business advisory model. Draw on pricing insights, integration tips and much more.
